SourceCon Atlanta is set to be a blast. Roundtable sessions, networking possibilities, and a bunch of opportunities to learn tips, tricks, and techniques from industry experts. The conference will take a deep dive into creative ways to engage and attract candidates, increase response times, implement diversity solutions and partner better with hiring managers. We can’t wait.

However, while it’s going to be a lot of fun within the Westin Peachtree Plaza, the city of Atlanta itself is amazing, and shouldn’t be missed. Everyone needs a conference break now and again. When you dip out, here are the top five spots you shouldn’t miss while you’re in Atlanta for SourceCon:

  1. Take the Peachtree Trolley Tour

The 90-minute Peachtree Trolley is the most convenient way to sightsee and get acquainted with the great city of Atlanta, known to its locals as “The Capital of the South.” The trip includes fully narrated tours starting near Centennial Olympic Park, and taking in popular sites such as the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, CNN’s headquarters, Oakland Cemetery, and the Fabulous Fox Theater.

2. Don’t Miss the Martin Luther King Heritage Site

Explore Atlanta through the mind of Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. At the iconic Heritage Site, you will see where King was born, where he lived, and where he worked. The trip will take you to the King Center, the Ebenezer Baptist Church (the church where he preached), and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park (the memorial site where he is buried). Throughout the five-hour tour, your guide will share amazing facts and stories about the Civil Rights movement in Atlanta.
